In spring 2011 City of Bristol College asked Granted to put forward various proposals to assist the college in realising its 'Green Room'. The college wanted to offer renewable energy training on its site at Ashley Down, to work alongside their traditional construction department. The Green Room is designed to be a fully functioning energy training area, used train to Solar PV, Solar Thermal and Air Source Heat Pumps. The final works were completed in January 2012 and the Green Room will now offer a practical and valuable learning experience for training and up-skilling members of the construction industry.
