KEY DRIVER: The UK Games Fund provides grants to help new and young games development businesses create working prototype games. The project should be a digital game or use digital games technology.

UK Games Talent and Finance CIC is a newly established community interest company that has been established to help develop the UK games development sector.
Grants will be provided to eligible companies with project plans where the team and title combination has potential and can benefit from their support.
The Application Process is a video pitch application which should be submitted by 23rd November.
Funding is provided to create jobs, promote diverse new teams, enhance skills and increase the amount of new games in the UK.
Applicants may claim for approved employment costs for UK employees and UK contractors declared on the application form.
These must be evidenced, either via payslips and bank statement entries (for employees) OR
UK-domiciled contractor invoices (exclusive of VAT)
The scale of development will be such that the grant should represent no more than 50% of the total costs of the project.
Be a registered, active games development company (although you can also apply as a new startup)
Have no more than 50 employees
Applications can be made by companies with a single (PAYE) employee, either supported by contractors, or where the applicant is carrying out all of the development work. Applicants must have at least 6 weeks of working capital
The project must not include gambling elements, or content that are deemed to be potentially reputationally damaging
The project should be a digital game or use digital games technology
The project can already be in development.
