£1m funding for West of England SMEs
UWE Bristol’s Innovation 4 Growth (I4G) programme will fund up to 35% of research and development project costs. Businesses operating in any sector in Bristol, Bath, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire are eligible to apply for a share of this £1m grant.

I4G is a grant funding programme run by the University of the West of England, Bristol. Developed using the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), it supports small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the West of England to develop innovative products, processes and services.
Applicants to the I4G programme can request grants with a value of between £10,000 and £75,000, to cover up to 35% of the total cost of a research and development project - on the condition that this funded activity results in the creation of new jobs in the region.
SMEs operating in any sector, with a presence in Bristol, Bath and North-East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire can apply.
The underlying objectives of the scheme are:
To generate R&D activity in the West of England that would not otherwise have taken place.
To create new jobs and new to market products in the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership area.
To grow the West of England economy, encouraging investment from the private sector
